Our Centre
Our centre was named "She Drup Ling" by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama at its opening in 1995 – „place of knowledge and experience“. Mit With our range of offers, we want to live up to this name:
She: Knowledge: talks, guided tours, library
Drup: Experience: rituals, meditation courses, city retreats
Anyone who is interested or curious is welcome!

Our meditation centre, She Drup Ling, located on the first floor of a historic building on Graz's Südtiroler Platz square has been a place of tranquillity, inspiration and growth for 30 years. We offer talks and teachings on topics related to Buddhist teaching and practice, as well as Tibetan Buddhist rituals, practice groups, city retreats and other activities to help you live compassion and wisdom and promote your mental health.
We are connected to Tibetan Buddhism but are open to Buddhists of all traditions and anyone interested in spirituality. The legal entity responsible for the centre is the non-profit organisation Association for the Promotion of Buddhist ValuesThis association promotes Buddhist values, in particular wisdom, compassion towards all beings and the mind of enlightenment.

If you approve our work and our aspirations you can support us with your membership or Donation ! An official commitment to the Buddhist religious community is not a prerequisite and does not result from this. It is only through the support of all our volunteers that it is possible to offer a wide range of courses and practices in our centre.
In our centre we adhere to the five ethical guidelines of Buddhism (Silas):
- do not kill (not even insects)
- do not steal (do not take anything that is not offered)
- do not engage in sexual misconduct (do not cause suffering)
- do not lie
- no drugs (including no alcohol, no nicotine)
