
Buddhist Holidays and Celebrations
We celebrate the most important Tibetan holidays, which are based on the lunar calendar, with a puja and food offerings. On some occasions, we meet at the stupa in the Volksgarten for prayers and a celebration.
Wed, 11th June, 2025: Puja for Saga Dawa at the stupa in the Volksgarten
Saga Dawa is the most important Buddhist holiday, celebrating the birth, enlightenment, and death of the historic Buddha, Shakyamuni. This holiday known in many traditions as Vesakh , is called Saga Dawa in Tibetan culture and is celebrated according to the Tibetan lunar calendar, usually one month after Vesakh. We meet for a Puja of Prajnaparamita 17.30 – 18.30 at the Stupa in Volksgarten park in Graz..

Vor 30 Jahren am 26. Juni wurde unser Zentrum eröffnet. Dazu möchten wir am 28. Juni zu einer Feier einladen. Wir sind besonders geehrt, dass unser Lehrer Khentrul Jamphel Lodrö Rinpoche den Feierlichkeiten beiwohnen und zu Beginn einen Dharma-Vortrag halten wird.
